30 Registered Nurses , all of whom have been qualified for a minimum of 5 years and have acute trauma experience from either Accident & Emergency or Intensive Care. Each Nurse has a strong up-to-date knowledge of current nursing practice and is registered with the UKCC. All registration details can be checked.
15 Unit Doctors from a wide range of specialities, including General Practice, Accident & Emergency and General Surgery. Available for Medical Consultations, Cast & Crew Medicals, Medical Advisors and Prescriptions.
Recent Accidents on film sets have included a Stuntman accidentally getting thrown through the windscreen of a car when a stunt went wrong, a post-tonsillectomy haemorrhage, a detached retina, a grand mal seizure, multiple lacerations, fractures and an extra going on fire!
FIRST AID KIT
A FULL EQUIPMENT LIST IS AVAILABLE.
1. Vast range of MEDICATION including homoeopathic and traditional remedies, Vitamins and Supplements.
2. SPECIALISED EQUIPMENT including Cervical Collars, sphygmomanometers, Loxley Splints, Blood Glucometers, Peak Flow Meters, Burns Kit, Resus Masks and airways.
3. Dressings, bandages etc.
4. Ophthalmic, ENT and Dental equipment.
